Like the varied neighborhoods they serve, our stores are unique. You’ll get the same expert advice and personal service at each shop plus a wide selection of top-quality food and products.
2005 | Originally known as Salty’s Dog Shop, our flagship store is established in North Portland’s Mississippi neighborhood. Now called Salty’s Pet Supply, chances are good you’ll be greeted by the owner’s dog, Parker J. Bearington, when you visit — especially if you’re shopping in the treats section!
2012 | Fang! Pet & Garden Supply, our second location, opens in the historic Kenton neighborhood offering healthy, practical and affordable pet products for cats, dogs, small animals like bunnies, and backyard chickens. Fang! also offers loads of indoor tropical houseplants and a seasonal outdoor garden center with a large array of veggies starts, native and landscaping plants, plus soil and gardening tools.
2017 | Three Paws Pet Supply opens in the South Waterfront neighborhood, offering a robust selection of affordable supplies, food, toys and accessories for cats and dogs. Everything a pet parent would need in one convenient location.
We are passionate about fostering strong local communities where all pets can thrive and live long and happy lives. That’s why we’re proud to partner with these like-minded organizations:
Owner & Founder
Expertise: It was Monk, a rottweiler/lab mix adopted by her husband just days after their wedding, that changed everything for Nancy. She’d been a cat lover since childhood, but Monk converted Nancy into a dog lover, growing her love of animals —and ultimately inspiring her to open three pet stores! She thrives on helping pet owners find the best food, treats and toys for their furry companions.
Pets: Nancy shares her home (just a few blocks from Salty’s!) with her husband, four dogs, and a one-time street kitten named James, who followed her home one night and now lives the good life.
