Money Raise for Local Rescue

Our Halloween pumpkin carving and costume contest was a big success this year. Thank you to all our generous customers that donated over $100 to Underdog Railroad Rescue by buying pumpkins, carving them, and entering their masterpieces into our contest. This year, $700 was donated to local animal rescues from our Halloween events! Money raised from the events at Salty’s Pet Supply went to The Pixie Project, and money raised from the events at Fang & Feather went to the Multnomah County Animal Service’s Dolly Fund. Thank you for joining us this year!

About Underdog Railroad Rescue:

URR works directly with Rescue Groups in Southern California to rescue dogs on their last days in the high-kill shelters. “Because our dogs are in Foster Homes, we get to know the dog’s personalities and needs. We know the dogs well and how they do in a home environment, we do a great job matching families with the right dog and the right family for the dog!” (from URR’s site).”Vet bills are URR’s most oversized budget item every year, and they often rescue dogs that need significant care. Please consider donating to their Special Needs Vet Fund. We are grateful for our wonderful customers who were thrilled to donate to URR to help them save “last chance” dogs from high kill shelters,” adds Bonnie Blagg, store manager.

Thank you, EVERYONE, for participating!
